Thank you for choosing Superior Home Products. We are committed to providing a quality install completed by trained and experienced installers. We want to ensure there are no surprises during the installation of your products, therefore, we have provided a checklist that will help you prepare for the installation and give you the knowledge of what to expect.
Please read through the checklist carefully. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to call your salesperson. We ask that the preparations you must make be done prior to our installers arriving in order to minimize delays. Again, we thank you for your business and hope you enjoy your new Superior Home Products, Inc. bathroom products.
Customer Preparation
Marble, Mirrors, Shower Doors, & Wire Shelving
- Remove all wall hangings, breakables, and any vehicles from the installation area and the path from the cutting area to the installation area.
- Keep small children and all pets away from the cutting area and the path to and from the work area.
- Ensure there is adequate lighting, power (110V), and ventilation (windows), and where possible, heat in the room where cutting will be done, when applicable.
- If valuables or breakables cannot be removed from the area, cover them with plastic and/or a blanket to keep theĀ dust to a minimum.
Marble Only
- Provide the installer with at least a 10 x 10 area in which to cut the marble. (ex. Basement, garage, unfinished room or outside if weather permits.)
NOTE: There will be some dust generated from the cutting area even with our dust collectors attached to the saws. Please be sure to protect ALL household items in the general work area and choose the best possible cutting area with this in mind. Our installers do everything in their control to minimize exposure to excess dust left behind.
Mirror & Shower Door Only
- Existing shower door must be removed prior to installation, unless arrangements have been made for Superior Home Products, Inc. to remove.
- Any drywall area that is to have a mirror glued against it must be primed and painted at least 48 hours prior to installation.
- The installer will need at least a 5 x 8 space close to the installation area in which to work.
NOTE: There will be some dust and metal shavings generated during the installation process.
Shelving Only
- All closets and areas for installation must be cleaned out and all items removed prior to the installers arrival. The customer must remove any existing wire shelving unless arrangements have been made for Superior Home Products to remove.
- Small amounts of drywall dust may be generated during the installation process which will be cleaned up by the installer prior to leaving.
Day of Installation
Marble, Mirrors, Shower Doors, & Wire Shelving
- The installer shall review with you the scope of the job. (ie; est. time he will be there, review the work areas, ensure adequate protection has been provided for household items, and discuss issues as it relates to the job.)
- The installer will provide floor protection in the work area with plastic or blankets. The installer will also remove any debris that may have been generated from the installation, sweep both the cutting area and installation area, as well as remove the floor protection before leaving the premises.
